Join us for the second edition of our foraging workshops with Urban Forage

They will give you tools to start Identifying and harvesting your own wild consumables.

They will guide you through how to forage sustainably and responsibly and show you some of the things they do with wild food.

They will tell you which plants to avoid and which plants are in season and educate you on the general rules and laws that they follow.

Where to meet?

  • Meet Time 5PM and a member of the PLATF9RM team will greet you!
  • We will meet at Urban Forage Workshop, located at The Stanmer Craft Museum Bn1 9se, or ask Google to navigate to Urban Forage!
  • We will finish around 7:30 PM in Stanmer Park.

Is there parking?

  • Yes, Park in The Patchway car park if possible when driving.

What to bring / wear?

Please wear sensible clothes (i.e Coat if raining, hat if sunny, suitable footwear)You can bring Scissors, Notepads, suitable forage type bag, (canvas shopping bags actually work), drink or snack if needed.

 

What to expect?

Expect to take a scenic tour through one of the most beautiful nature reserves in Brighton, we hope to find a nice selection of Plants, Nuts and other foragable Food and Fungi on our journey!

We will finish the session with a light demonstration with foraged snacks and refreshments, including our Wild Nettle tea and Mushroom soup with Wild Onion Focaccia, all food will be vegan, but please let us know if you have any dietary requirements.

 

We aim to give you the tools to start your own forage journey!

There will be refreshments, discussion and demonstrations!
