Join us for From Demo to Release: In the Mix with Josh Harrison – a Plugin Boutique production masterclass focused on how to take an instrument-led idea from rough demo to something more polished and finished.
Hosted at The Grounds, PLATF9RM Hove, this live session is designed for artists, musicians, songwriters and producers who want practical insight into shaping real instruments in a modern production – particularly guitars, keys, vocals and other live elements.
On the night, Josh will share his approach to moving from an initial idea to a more polished production, with a focus on the decisions that help a track feel stronger, clearer and closer to release.
Expect practical insight on:
- arrangement and structure
- recording and shaping live elements
- layering, editing and tone
- mixing decisions that help a track land
- knowing what to keep raw and what to refine
- how to tell when a track is finished
There will also be a moderated conversation and audience Q&A, with the chance to ask your own questions and take away ideas you can apply to your music straight away.

About Josh Harrison
Josh Harrison is a producer and mix engineer based in Brighton. He began his career at Brighton Electric Studios and has since contributed to chart-topping records working with artists including The Cure, Royal Blood and Sea Power. Alongside this, he has also worked a lot with Warren Huart of Produce Like A Pro and is a Senior Lecturer of Music Production at BIMM University, Brighton.
