HEADLINERS
MITHAGO
mithago (it/its) is a mad cripple dyke tranny writer, educator and facilitator whose work is shaped by radical authenticity. It explores identity, location, body, and the intersections between them: how we shape and are shaped by the worlds we inhabit.
Its poetry grapples with trauma, memory, discomfort and survival—blurring the line between art and activism.
mithago is the 2023 UK Slam Poetry Champion, and has represented England at both the European and World Slam Championships. Beyond performance, it facilitates workshops across the UK and Europe on editing for performance, oral poetry practice, and prioritising care in poetic spaces.
ISHA
Isha is a Black queer spoken word artist who uses poetry to process life and speak truth. Her work dives into identity, politics, and generational trauma—grounded in vulnerability and resistance.
For Isha, poetry is both a coping mechanism and a creative rebellion. She believes poetry doesn’t have to be polished or posh to be powerful—and she hopes her work encourages others from marginalised backgrounds to speak up, write out, and heal loud.

About Poet’s Palace:
Poet’s Palace is a platform that empowers spoken word artists to amplify their voices, connect with diverse audiences and inspire change through poetry.
We champion emerging talent by giving them the stages and resources they deserve. We’re building inclusive, collaborative communities across the UK—celebrating spoken word in all its power.
We recognise the importance of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Intersectionality in everything we do. Many of the artists we platform come from the Global Majority, LGBTQIA2+ and other underrepresented communities, and we know how systemic barriers can limit access to events like ours.
Through consultation with anti-racism activist and Brighton host Kaia Allen-Bevan, we’ve adjusted our ticket pricing to ensure our events remain financially accessible. These decisions aren’t symbolic — they’re part of the structural change we’re committed to.
