Kick off the New Year with Calm and Positivity
This January, we’re thrilled to welcome Axelle, a skilled mind-body therapist, for a six-week course in sophrology at PLATF9RM. This unique wellbeing journey will guide you in reducing stress and embracing a positive mindset to start 2025 on a balanced, resilient note. Sophrology blends relaxation, mindfulness, and positive visualisations, providing simple but powerful tools to help you handle life’s stresses and reconnect with yourself.
Join us every Monday evening for 1 hour and 15 minutes of guided relaxation, soothing movement, and visualisation exercises. Whether you’re looking to manage stress, improve focus, or simply invite more peace into your life, this course offers a supportive and welcoming space to do just that. No special clothing or equipment required—just come as you are!

  • 6-Week Course: Mondays from January 13th
  • Time: 6 PM – 8 PM
  • Location: PLATF9RM – a quiet, comfortable space with chairs
  • Cost: £15 per workshop or £70 for the full course

What is Sophrology?

Sophrology is a blend of Eastern philosophies and psychology, designed to foster mental calm and emotional balance. Through gentle body movements, mindful breathing, and positive visualisation, Axelle’s sessions help you release physical tension, calm the mind, and refocus on the positive. Sophrology is widely practiced across Europe as a tool for managing stress, anxiety, and sleep challenges, and it’s now making its way to the UK!
In this course, Axelle will guide you through six sessions to help you:
  • Relax and Release Tension – Feel stress melt away with soothing exercises and gentle, grounding movements.
  • Let Go of Worries – Free yourself from mental clutter and create space for inner peace.
  • Cultivate Warmth and Positivity – Feel positive energy flow through your body and mind.
  • Prepare for Restful Nights – Discover how to calm your system and prepare for deep, restorative sleep.

About Axelle

With expertise in stress management, anxiety relief, and sleep therapy, Axelle uses her experience to help others live with more ease and joy. Her approach is rooted in empathy, kindness, and attentiveness, helping you not only find calm during sessions but also develop practical techniques you can use on your own. At the end of each session, Axelle will invite you to write down your reflections, noting any shifts in how you feel—an optional but valuable practice for deepening your experience.
